Step-by-step guide to get Netherlands Digital Nomad Visa

  1. Make an appointment at the Netherlands embassy.
  2. Fill out the application form and all the attachments mentioned in it. The form lists the documents that will be required for the application.
  3. Visit the embassy at the appointed time, taking your passport, completed application and 35 x 45 mm photographs.
  4. The embassy officer will register the application in the system, date stamp it and personal V-number and then return the documents with confirmation. The embassy will also accept the applicant's biometric data. A signature and fingerprints will be required to obtain the MVV.

  7. Receive an official decision by mail or e-mail if agreed to in the application. If the MVV and residence permit are denied, you can file an objection.
  8. In case of a favorable decision, you will need to visit the embassy to receive the MVV by making an appointment in advance. The MVV must be valid for at least 6 months before an embassy officer can enter it into your passport.
  9. The MVV is valid for 90 days, so you must enter the Netherlands and find temporary or permanent accommodation before the end of this period.
  10. Register in the resident database (BRP) and get a citizen number (BSN).
