To participate in the program, such documents will be required:

• A certificate from the employer, which reflects the scope of the company, the essence of the work and the applicant's responsibilities.
• Proof of income, such as a certificate from the employer or from the tax office.
• Certificate of registration of the employing company.
• Proof of profit of the employing company, e.g. tax statement.
• Proof of residence - a rental agreement or ownership document will be accepted.
• Health insurance.
• A photograph taken no more than three months before filing.
• Return ticket or proof of funds for its purchase.

Step-by-step guide to get Hungary Digital Nomad Visa

1. Gather all the necessary documents. Be sure to make copies of all your documents and keep them for the future - they will most likely be useful in Hungary when you get your White Card. If you can add any additional documents to the list to prove the purpose of your trip, do so. And of course, all documents should be translated into Hungarian or English.
2. Fill out the visa application form. Under "Purpose of my stay" select "Other" and write "Remote work". When the embassy staff processes your application, it will go through as a digital nomad visa.
3. Make an appointment for your visa and attend the appointment. The appointment goes through like a regular visa application appointment at the embassy. By the day of the appointment, you should already have all your documents together. At the appointment you will need to submit all documents, go through a short interview and give your biometric data.
4. Wait for the feedback. Now you need to wait for the visa application to be approved - this procedure should take about 30 days. Once approved, the visa will be mailed to you. You will probably receive some sort of notification on your phone or email before this. At the same time, the embassy staff will notify the competent consular officer in Hungary of your approved application. This visa is a single entry visa valid for 30 days. It is not yet a White Card - this visa is only used to enter Hungary.
5. Travel to Hungary and obtain a White Card. You must enter and apply for a White Card in Hungary within 30 days of receiving your entry visa. When you arrive in Hungary, you should go to the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing in your area - they should be waiting for you there. You must take all supporting documents and their copies with you. After all formalities you should leave the office with a Hungarian residence permit for 1 year.
