What Youโll Own & Drive
- Production Kubernetes - Operate, scale, and evolve cloud-native infrastructure with a strong bias toward reliability, observability, and automation.
- Infrastructure as Code - Build and maintain Terraform and Helm Charts with real depth, driving consistency and repeatability across environments.
- CI/CD at Scale - Implement and maintain pipelines that are fast, secure, and developer-friendly, shortening the path from merge to deploy.
- Incident Response & Root Cause - Lead incidents when they hit, run blameless post-incident learning, and ship the durable fix - not just the patch.
- Observability That Earns Trust - Improve monitoring and alerting to cut noise, surface real signal, and reduce on-call burnout.
- Pragmatic Security & Compliance - Partner with security to implement controls that hold up to audit without crippling velocity, keeping secrets management, access controls, and network boundaries sane and defensible.
- Developer Experience - Treat operational pain as a bug. Automate, document, and pave the road for the engineers shipping on top of your platform.
- On-Call Ownership - Participate in the teamโs weekly 24x7 rotation (handoff Mondays ~11am PT). Respond promptly, escalate cleanly, and own customer-impacting issues through to resolution.
Who You Are
- Production Owner - You donโt need constant direction and donโt wait to be told something is broken. You go look.
- Pragmatic Operator - Youโre opinionated but optimize for outcomes, not ideology. You push back when something is unsafe or short-sighted, and concede when youโre wrong.
- Automation Mindset - You document and automate what matters. Tribal knowledge is a bug. Manual runbooks are a smell.
- Clear Communicator - You can explain an outage, a tradeoff, or a risk to engineers, security, and leadership without losing nuance or hiding behind jargon.
- Quiet Reliability - You take pride in the unsexy work: clean rollbacks, sane secrets, quiet alerts, repeatable deploys.
- Engaged Teammate - You show up in team discussions, design reviews, and task refinement. This isnโt a tickets-only seat.
Your Background
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production - not just standing it up.
- Deep familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS strongly preferred).
- Proven depth in Infrastructure as Code - Terraform and Helm Charts are essential, not nice-to-haves.
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD systems at scale.
- Strong Linux fundamentals and real production debugging skills.
- Comfortable with a weekly 24x7 on-call rotation and the responsiveness it demands.
- Nice to have: Experience operating MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other stateful systems in production.
- Familiarity with security tooling, certificate management, or compliance frameworks.
- Background in SaaS operations or environments with real uptime, security, or regulatory stakes.
- Track record of improving developer experience through tooling and automation.
Tech Stack & Team
Production Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, AWS, CI/CD tooling, Linux, monitoring/observability tooling, security tooling, secrets management, on-call rotation.
Benefits & Perks
- Flexible Working Hours & Workplace
- Open Vacation Policy
- Equal Opportunities: Incode is an equal opportunity employer with a diverse, inclusive, global team.

Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d)
Location: Hamburg
Employment Type: Full time
Department: adjoe
adjoe builds the technologies behind mobile apps growth and monetization. With our core product Playtime Arcade, we've become the global leader in rewarded advertising, an ad unit built on a simple premise: users earn real in-app rewards for engaging with new apps. The result is one of the most effective value exchanges in adtech, connecting advertisers and publishers with over 770 million users annually.
Architecting Intelligence to Optimize 200M+ Daily Decisions
As the intelligence core of our engineering organization, our Data Science team doesn't just deploy models, we engineer the fundamental decision engine that powers our platform. At a scale of 770 million users and 100,000+ predictions per second, we are solving a multi-objective optimization problem that balances user incentives, advertiser ROI, and long-term platform health in real time.
Our architecture is built on a 1PB+ behavioral data lake, providing the high-fidelity input necessary to train deep learning models that predict individual user engagement with precision. We aren't just optimizing clicks, we are dynamically calculating optimal reward structures to sustain a global value exchange.
Engineered for performance, our stack leverages Tensorflow and PyTorch for model training, NVIDIA Triton to achieve sub-100ms inference. We own the full ML lifecycle from high-level research and feature engineering to deployment and A/B experimentation. Here, you will find the autonomy, the data depth, and the massive scale required to solve the most complex optimization challenges in the adtech ecosystem.
Your Mission & Who We Are Looking For:
- Proven track record in production ML. You have 5+ years in Data Science with a history of deployed models that moved real business metrics, not just research that stayed in notebooks. At adjoe, you'll be building models that predict LTV, conversion, and user behavior across 770 million users, directly impacting advertiser ROAS and publisher revenue.
- Deep learning is your primary tool. You have strong hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and have deployed deep learning models in production environments handling 1M+ daily predictions. You know the difference between a model that works in evaluation and one that holds up under real traffic.
- Full ML lifecycle ownership. You own the problem end-to-end from extracting insights out of terabytes of behavioral data using Trino, Spark, or AWS Athena, through model development and A/B validation, to production deployment. Experience with Airflow or model hosting is a strong plus.
- Fluent in both Python and data at scale. You work comfortably with the core DS stack (pandas/polars, numpy, scikit-learn, LightGBM, CatBoost, XGBoost) and have advanced SQL skills for drilling into large distributed datasets.
- Bridges ML and product. You can translate product requirements into ML logic and explain model behavior and impact to non-technical stakeholders without losing the technical depth underneath. AdTech experience is a strong plus.
Whatโs in It for You?
๐ We welcome applications from talent worldwide and provide relocation support to Hamburg, Germany for those ready to join our team.
At adjoe, youโre not here to just close JIRA tickets, youโre helping build the infrastructure behind one of the most impactful platforms in adtech. The systems you work on will reach hundreds of millions of users and power billions of decisions every day.
- Go Big. Own projects with impact on 770M users and push adtech boundaries.
- Move Fast. Ship solutions multiple times a day, learn from results, and keep momentum.
- Be Direct. Solve problems openly and collaborate across teams.
- Thrive Together. Grow with a diverse, global team of people from over 40 different countries that learn from each other.
- Have Fun. Celebrate wins, enjoy daily victories, and bring your energy.
We welcome applications from people who will contribute to the diversity of our company.

We specialize in the operationally complex: real-world data collection, multimodal pipelines, and multi-step workflows. Advanced ML and AI teams use our enterprise platform to run their own data factories, and our services team to extend their reach where in-house capacity runs out. If you want to do work that materially shapes how the next generation of AI products gets built, we'd love to talk. This is a product-engineering role: not โbuild what youโre told,โ but shape what we build โown the problem, propose solutions, and ship outcomes that matter to users and the business.
About the role
Weโre hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer with product vision. Youโll lead with craftโshipping fast, accessible UX in React/TypeScript โand partner early with PM/Design to frame problems, prototype to learn, and make pragmatic scope calls. You care about clarity, performance, and simplicity in complex, data-heavy workflowsโso the result feels simple, performant, and trustworthy.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain frontend components and views for labeling, review, and evaluation workflows with performance, accessibility, and scalability in mind.
- Own outcomes, not tasks: refine scope, suggest trade-offs, propose simpler approaches, and land increments that deliver value fast.
- Partner with Product & Design from discovery to delivery: clarify user jobs, write lightweight RFCs/PRDs, and shape scope and milestones.
- Prototype to de-risk UX; use flags/gradual rollouts; gather feedback from users/support and iterate after releases.
- Raise the bar on FE standards: state management, testing, error boundaries, a11y, i18n, and developer ergonomics.
- Partner with Support to investigate production issues, reduce UX papercuts, and turn learnings into fixes.
- Engage with our open-source community (issues, discussions) to understand real-world needs and improve developer experience.
- Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews; mentor teammates and improve patterns across the codebase.
What youโll bring
- Senior-level experience shipping production React/TypeScript apps (HTML/CSS mastery; ES6+; a11y).
- Strong product sense: youโve made scope/trade-off decisions and iterated based on real-world usage and feedback.
- Fluency with modern FE tooling (e.g., Vite/Webpack, Jest/Cypress) and state-management patterns.
- Comfort collaborating with APIs and occasionally touching backend code (Django/REST familiarity is a plus).
- Excellent communication at a Senior IC level โyou write clear RFCs/PRDs, give actionable reviews, and present trade-offs well.
Nice to have
- Experience with data/ML tools, OSS, design systems, or performance profiling.
- Familiarity with feature flags/gradual rollouts and qualitative feedback loops (support forums, user sessions).
- Prior work on complex, data-heavy UIs (review tools, multi-step workflows, or IDE-like apps).
Our stack
Python/Django, JS/TS, React, OpenAI API, Spark, BigQuery, Kafka, Jest, Cypress, AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis.
How we build
Trunk-based development with small, reviewable PRs; feature flags for safe rollouts; strong code reviews; pragmatic testing; and close collaboration with Product/Design/Support.
How we work
At HumanSignal, we follow a six-week cycle known as "Build and Ship" followed by a "Cooldown." During the first four weeks, the team focuses on creating new features and shipping improvements. We also rotate a small group to handle customer support, ensuring everyone stays in touch with real user needs and we can respond quickly to issues. After those four weeks, we have a two-week "Cooldown" period. This is when we tackle technical debt, refine our integration processes, and wrap up those lingering tasks that never quite fit into regular sprints but really help us feel good about our codebase and workflows.
Location & Compensation
At HumanSignal we pay based on regional compensation market rate ranges across the globe. We are hiring for this role across North and South America as well as Europe. The base cash compensation range is $140,000 to $200,000 USD. These ranges are provided by market data and are in good faith. The final offer details are determined by several factors including candidate experience, expertise, as well as applicable industry knowledge and may vary from the pay ranges listed above.

Who You Are / Team Description:
Join the world's first Civilian Cybersecurity Force and take your career to the next level!

What youโll do
Build and deploy ML/AI services. Design, develop, and ship ML models and AI systems that Product Engineering teams rely on. You write the model code, the API layer, the monitoring, and the tests. Not notebooks; production services.
Design with LLMs and APIs. Use LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) as building blocks in production systems. You know when to call an LLM, when to fine-tune, when to use a classical model, and when to write a rule. You think about cost, latency, and quality together.
Ship production software. Write clean, well-structured code with solid OOP, proper abstractions, error handling, and tests. Your code gets reviewed by SWEs and passes. CI/CD is how you work, not something you bolt on at the end.
Partner with product and engineering. Translate business problems into ML solutions. Define API contracts with product engineers. Explain your approach clearly to non-ML partners and leave the room with alignment, not confusion.
Evaluate and iterate fast. Build evaluation frameworks, run experiments, and make data-driven decisions about model and system performance. Ship and iterate; donโt wait for perfect.
Ship AI-powered workflows. Put AI to work on your own processes: automate pipelines, build agentic workflows, and contribute reusable skills and context to Checkrโs agentic platform. The expectation is that our teams operate AI-first.
What you bring
- A Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent depth from experience
- 4+ years building software professionally, with at least 2 of those building ML systems that run in production
- Strong Python fluency; you write clean, testable, well-structured code with solid OOP instincts. Not scripts; software
- Hands-on experience using LLM APIs in production systems: prompt engineering, structured outputs, function calling, cost management, and evaluation
- Youโve built and maintained APIs, worked with CI/CD pipelines, and shipped code that other engineers depend on
- Comfortable with distributed systems concepts: queues, async processing, caching, horizontal scaling
- Experience with NLP tasks in production: classification, extraction, entity resolution, summarization
- Comfort with and enthusiasm for AI-assisted workflows; experience using LLMs, code-generation tools, or agentic systems in production or operational contexts is a strong signal
- You can evaluate tradeoffs: fine-tune vs. prompt, hosted vs. self-deployed, classical ML vs. LLM, rule vs. model
- Strong communication skills; you explain technical decisions clearly to engineers and non-engineers alike, without hiding behind jargon
- You use AI tools (Copilot, Claude, etc.) to move faster, but you understand every line they produce. You can spot AI slop and you donโt ship it
- An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes
Nice to have
- Experience with MLOps platforms (MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex, or similar)
- Background in document processing, OCR, or information extraction
- Experience with PySpark or large-scale data processing
- Ruby experience (Checkrโs platform runs on Rails)
- Familiarity with compliance-sensitive domains (fintech, legal tech, HR tech)
- Working knowledge of dbt, Snowflake, or modern ELT/data transformation tools
What we offer
- A fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Learning and development allowance
- Competitive cash and equity compensation, and opportunity for advancement
- 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Up to $25K reimbursement for fertility, adoption, and parental planning services
- Flexible PTO policy
- Monthly wellness stipend
- In-office perks and hub locations (Denver, CO; San Francisco, CA; Nashville, TN; Santiago, Chile) with in-office presence required 3+ days a week
- A relocation stipend may be available
Who you are
- Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate; strong collaboration with Product Engineering and cross-functional teams
- Customer-, impact-, and result-driven with a passion for building production-grade ML systems
