Best Practices: Utilize best practices for responsive grids, Material UI, SEO, and accessibility to create visual designs.
Uniformity: Work with the eCommerce and Creative Design teams to define and maintain UI/UX and SEO standards that ensure uniformity across OWC’s web properties.
Create: Design visual graphics and animation with a compelling, consistent look and style across all company websites.
Originality: Use artistic skill and ability to produce original graphics (icons, symbols, logos, etc.). Demonstrated custom web design skills that show creativity and novelty beyond applying third-party templates.
Detail-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to provide detailed, comprehensive design specification documents to developer team for implementation.
Collaborate: Work with the creative team members to determine the conceptual and visual direction of creative deliverables. Interact with project teams (sales, marketing, creative) to understand business objectives and audience demographics. Understand and incorporate feedback from internal team and client direction.
Staying Current: Further education and knowledge by staying up to date on best practices, business trends, and emerging designs in the field of user experience and visual design.

What You Bring with You?

Experience: 7-10 years of professional website design experience with a focus on eCommerce
Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communication design, user experience,
web design and development, or equivalent

Compensation Structure for the Position

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive base salary range of $75,000-$100,000, supplemented by variable compensation. The amount of variable compensation will be determined based on your experience, skills, and performance.

SamCart’s Innovation Team is looking for a stellar Graphic Designer to help expand our design options for our customers. In this role you will be responsible for designing engaging, beautiful templates and functional, elegant pleasing layouts that take into consideration the goals and objectives for the types of content our customers create.

We are on a constant mission to add more design and styling to Dropdeck to give our customers the variety they need to create individual pieces of content. We do the heavy design lifting so our customers can spend less time worrying about design and more time focusing on growing their business.

Responsibilities

Design on-brand creative design elements for a variety of uses including content such as presentations, e-books, social media assets and other popular formats
Execute on all visual design stages from concept to hand-off, working with leadership, project managers, outside agencies, and video and content experts
Work cross-functionally to deliver designs that are creative, useful, and align with technical and brand standards
Conceptualize original template design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to overcome complex roadblocks
Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
Ability to work with and collaborate with our product, engineering, and marketing teams

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional digital design role
A portfolio of previous digital design work to showcase experience, creativity, and success of projects
Expert knowledge of design software programs such as PhotoShop, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically, Illustrator), Figma, Canva and a solid understanding of web formats (SVG)
Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Proficiency in HTML, CSS highly desirable

Job Description

To work with our product design manager
Designing app pages, features, buttons, layouts, etc
Designing website pages, features, buttons, layouts, etc
Designing marketing or promotional material
Converting design files into ones suited for back-end developers
Helping us design the best user experience for the website and our Mobile Application
Suggest to improve software/application user experience
To design marketing tools such as email templates, social media posts, banners, etc.
To work with the marketing, business or psychology department when necessary
If needed, designs for social media tools for our website and or mobile application

Qualifications

Candidate must possess or currently be pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Graphics Design/ Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Advertising/Media or equivalent.
Have a CGPA of at least 2.80
Able to use Adobe Photoshop (must have at least basic knowledge)
Able to use Adobe XD (If you understand how Photoshop works then you will be able to use XD)
Able to adapt designs to different styles for various projects

Image Finaling Intern

Responsibilities:

Image Finaling is a compositing department at the end of the animated feature production pipeline that specializes in creative and technical fixes done in Nuke to resolve any render related issues and creative requests.

The goal of the internship will be to give candidates real world experience within the animated feature film pipeline while working alongside industry professionals
The intern will work closely with IMF production staff as well as the IMF supervisor and IMF leads
This intern will be given proper training and then eventually entry level feature shots to work on. This will be a structured process with weekly check-ins.

Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate (within six months of graduation date)

Product Design Intern

What would your typical day look like?

You start your day off with a team meeting (scrum) to track the progress on the team’s different projects and elevate each other by sharing innovative ideas
Afterwards, you immediately connect with your team to; Map and explore user journeys to identify pain points and friction.
Following that you start creating a mock up, you present your work to your internship coach and go beyond by suggesting new ideas that are innovative.
It’s already lunch time! You attend a lunch and learn as you seek to benefit from your colleagues’ expertise
The rest of the afternoon will be spent working on your main project in Figma.
The day is coming to an end! You’ve learned so much in a day, you look back and assess your contribution in cultivating excellence, already looking forward to tomorrow! Until then, you join your colleagues for Smash tournament to celebrate your successes.
